DIY Ergo Arm For Ipad
First, shout out to Jarod from https://jaredwbrown.com/store/discount-brackets , he makes these custom mounts for tablet displays.
Item 1: I bought one of his discounted mounts for Cintiq Companions. That size works perfect for my iPad Pro project.
Item 2: Get a magnetic cover case that you’ll modify and use to attach your iPad to the mount.
Item 3: Any ergo arm will do.
Item 4: Long enough charging cable, I bought a 10 ft one to run through the ergo arm and to a charging port.
Step 1: Attach the mount to the ergo arm, Jarods mount comes with all the hardware needed. No tools required.
Step 2: Cut off the front cover from the case. The back piece attaches to the iPad via magnets. The magnet hold is surprising strong and holds the iPad in place really well.
Step 3: Position and attach the back cover to the mount, Jarods kit provides 3M adhesives.
Step 4 Run charger cable through the port.
Give the back cover some time to bond with the adhesive mount strips. When finish, snap you iPad on there and that’s it!
